Privacy Policy

I'll keep this simple. WordSen is a small, independent app built by one person (me, Ben). I'm not in the business of selling your data. I don't WANT your data, honestly, beyond what I need to make the app work and answer your emails.
What I collect
If you sign up for the beta
The beta signup form on this website is powered by Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you enter your email, Kit stores it so I can send you updates about the beta launch. That's it. I won't spam you or share your email with anyone.
If you send me a message
The contact form uses Formspree to deliver your message to my inbox. Formspree processes your name, email, and message so it can reach me. I use this info to reply to you and nothing else.
On this website
This website doesn't use cookies or analytics tracking. I don't know who visits, how long they stay, or what pages they look at. The site loads Google Fonts for typography, which means Google's servers see your IP address when the fonts load. That's standard for most websites, but I want to be upfront about it.
In the app
WordSen the app uses Firebase for authentication and data storage. Your study progress, flashcards, and Kitsune pet data are stored in Firebase under your account. I can see this data in the admin dashboard (for debugging and support), but I'm not analyzing it to sell you things or target you with ads. The app also uses PostHog for basic usage analytics (like which features people actually use) so I can make the app better.
What I DON'T do
- Sell your data to anyone
- Run targeted ads
- Share your information with third parties for marketing
- Track you across other websites
Third-party services
These services handle data on my behalf. Each has their own privacy policy:
- Firebase (Google) for app authentication and data storage
- Kit (ConvertKit) for beta email signups
- Formspree for contact form delivery
- PostHog for app usage analytics
- Google Fonts for website typography
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from beta emails at any time (there's a link at the bottom of every email). If you want me to delete any data I have about you, just ask. Send me a message through the contact page and I'll take care of it.
Questions?
If you have questions about any of this, reach out. I'm one person, not a legal department, so I'll give you a straight answer.
